this ain't about the conan/jay thing. This is about the mean spirited jokes against Obama in the monologue on Fallon. Totally uncalled for.

| 1. If you can stay up until 12:30, try Craig Ferguson on the Late Late Show, after Letterman |

He's actually LOL funny half the time, and while sometimes he is sophomorically crude, he is never mean. But when he makes me laugh, it really is
I've had a particularly soft spot for him since the night he came to the defense of Britney Spears in the midst of her very public breakdown. For awhile he had been doing what they all were doing, mocking her troubles, but at a certain point he realized she wasn't just acting out because of being a spoiled brat. That night his monologue was about how he was a recovering alcoholic himself (he's never made a secret of it, but it was relevant in the moment) -- and that she, what ever was going on, was a very young person in a very lot of trouble. He said there were two babies involved, that Kevin Federline was stepping up to the job of fatherhood, and that in his pov Britney was just a baby herself. So, he wasn't going to make fun of her or her ex any more.
My jaw dropped. It was just -- kind. And human.
And then he went on with the job of being very funny.
I can't stand Leno or Letterman, and never cared for Conan. Love Jon Stewart, but have to watch him online the next day because I don't get Comedy Central.

is my pick of the lot, too.
I like Jay and Dave, but never warmed to Conan, although I tried several times—just not my style.
Watched Fallon a couple of times, but was not impressed.
Craig is solid, though. He's just so FUN. He's loving life, loving America (he's a native of Scotland), and it SHOWS.

I don't usually watch Fallon, but I did head into the Cone Zone last night and caught a couple of minutes of Fallon. Are you talking about the phone app thing? I don't think that was particularly bad. His "meanest" joke was against Pelosi.
Fallon makes "jokes" about a lot of people. It's what comedians do. I think they try and keep it balanced.
Fallon is pretty terrible, IMHO. He just isn't a funny comedian. But I watch him when Rachel is on his show and he seems to be a pretty OK interviewer.
