Take heart. It's always darkest before the dawn (or so I hear).

It's making me physically ill to even read DU with its faucet of defeatism turned on full force every minute of every day. I mean, who needs it? What is the gain here? This is NOT a place to support the President and the Democratic Party. It's simply debilitating. Let's face facts. :(
I'm out. Good luck, friends :grouphug: :hi:
Extra special snuggly for Frenchie  and Cha  I'm sorry, I really am.

I totally understand your feelings.
Are there sites on the web that support the Democratic Party?
I want to be where our party is respected and evil does not get rewarded and allowed to let stand.

In essence, we did all that we could. The Corporations are gonna take over anyways, and are going to make the dumbasses think that it was all their idea.
We are about to get done in real good, and unfortunately, I don't think there is a damn thing we can do about it.
I'm thinking that the plan is to turn enough people against this President, in whatever way possible, especially via the media, and the internet stooges, and in 2012, we will end up with Pres. Walmart, and the hateful folks here will believe that it is a better thing, until they realize way too late that it isn't.
So, I understand.
I'm going to continue fighting for a while, but I no longer know if I'm fighting for the future of my children.... or simply bidding time.
It may be possible that I might choose to enjoy these last three years, because after that, the lights will be turned out on all of us.

| 6. Frenchie, at least you can leave and go back to France! Oh, |
|
how I envy you! I hope I'll be here throughout President Obama's two terms and recoup my savings. Then I'm heading overseas for the remainder.

| 7. I have been here 30+ years. I don't think I really want to go back to France..... |
|
and will only if I have to. I haven't ever worked in France, and so I wouldn't get a pension, unless I go back soon. Plus, my hubby is about as American as one can get, so I don't know if that is a perfect option for me.
But I feel the worse for the young people....and I'm not even talking about my own children, who due to perfect timing and excellent education, are more or less set for life..... cause somehow I don't think those who have come out of Harvard and Princeton are going to be the ones suffering somehow.

| 8. True. I don't think any college student or graduate going into |
|
the "right" field will be suffering. I certainly understand not getting a pension over there but retirement benefits that you have earned and paid into here, will be applicable ANYWHERE.

with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science last May.
He put in job applications from coast to coast. He was unable to find a full-time position, so he has now headed back for his Master's.
I'm not so certain about the "right" field making for a secure future. (Unless Comp Sci isn't the "right" field?)
