| The O'Keefe issue exposes a dilemma for those dissatisfied with Pres. Obama |
|
Clearly, O'Keefe is a tool for the GOP and a young inexperienced one at that. His attack on ACORN was full of holes, but with the support of the GOP and it's controlled media, it did a lot of damage.
Many who are dissatisfied with Pres. Obama stood by and loyally defended ACORN because they knew such an amateurish attack on ACORN would eventually be shown to be one big false hood.
However, when put into context, that the GOP sends the O'Keefe's after ACORN and still did tremendous damage, they are sending much more sophisticated propagandists after Democratic Presidents. This is a wake-up call for those who knee-jerk react to every so-called "negative" story about the President. And I believe some here are starting to see the light. That they can indeed be manipulated by propaganda pushed through the Media from the right.

It's amazing to me that some people who were very skeptical of MSM reporting during the Bush years now believe every MSM story that portays Obama in a negative way.

is unbelievably naive but it doesn't matter because it is not the source but the message that they love. Driving the narrative is the goal.

Just because they knew that ACORN was getting a bum rap on this particular angle, doesn't seem to have that much weight. ACORN is just one tool the right has used to go after the President, and a few of the folks here who scream that they are his "base" but seem to revel in his perceived "failures" were probably not distracted by this story because they were looking for a bigger fish. When every single slam against the President MUST be posted in GD, MUST be discussed ad nauseum (regardless of the truth of said slam), and MUST get a minimum of 125 recs, it is very hard not to realize that there are people actively working to smear and tarnish this President, truth and facts be damned.
There is no wake-up call for these folks. There is nothing for them to "wake up" to. They are doing exactly what makes them happy and feel fulfilled with their lives.

The Propagandistas are exponentially stronger against President Obama but I'm not sure many on the internet care..only there to carry its water.
Saw something on Steve Benen's blog about fauxsn00ze's take on o'keefe..shep smith was asking someone if "o'keefe thought some hanky panky was going on with Mary Landrieu and Acorn"?!
Like that kind of obsession is going to help him out:silly:
Didn't take me long in the first part of the century to see what the mediawhores were capable of..and I had never been exposed to it before.
