| How much credence do you give Yahoo news? I'll swear they |

come up with the most depressing headlines, and they're right there when I log on, so hard to ignore. Ugh.

|

During the election era they seemed to always have headlines hinting the Republicans were going to win.

| 5. Maybe try setting up your own "My Yahoo" page as your homepage? |
|
That way, you can choose what appears on your homepage, and where it's located on that page. If you don't like their news, you can choose something else to appear front and center. That's what I did. I use their calendar feature a lot, so I put it up at the top, along with their "Note to Self" feature, weather, TV listings, etc. There are a lot of choices for news, from MSNBC to the NYT to the BBC, or WaPo, or CNN, and others. Don't know if any of those choices sound better to you, but at least there's choice. And you can put it anywhere you like on the page. You have to have a Yahoo account to set it up and use it, but that doesn't mean you have to use the account for anything else. I don't.

It's the "My Front Page" part of "MY Yahoo" that I'm talking about. You can choose different color schemes and stuff, too.

I can't remember the whole story now, but I do know AP hired a hard-core conservative for some grand-poobah editor position with them. Since then, it's showed.
