When I ask people how they're going to pay the $400-$600 premium of Medicare at cost, which is what is in the Grayson bill, they always say they'd be thrilled to pay that low of an amount.

But when you talk about the health care bill that actually has subsidies to help people, well all of a sudden they can't even afford $50 a month and are going to end up homeless.

I just don't get the complete lapse of logic. It's one thing to oppose being forced to pay a corporation, but to say people are going to end up homeless while praising the Medicare Buy-In bill, that is just nutso.

I've been trying to find figures for the medicare buy in plan with no luck. Where did you find yours?

I read one post on Dkos where they spoke of $492 a month for Medicare A and 110+ a month for B.


I think it's the shibboleth of private insurance. The common belief on DU is that insurers alone are responsible for the high cost of health care in America. So they'd rather make their payment to the Feds.
