It's sad and really rather disgusting that a website that was designed to support Democrats top two posts, proudly displayed on the home page are "Wow! Glenn Greenwald is SCORCHING the Dems & White House on Lincoln" and "Brutal Rolling Stone piece on Pres. Obama's handling of the BP spill."

I think DU should rename itself Free Republic II. There is very little difference between the original Free Republic and this site now.

And I don't care if this gets me banned, but the administrators (not talking about moderators) of this site should really be ashamed of themselves for letting it get this out of control. Apparently they decided to mold DU after Larry Johnson's No Quarter hate-site.

21. It's truly awful. I've been a member of this site since the

beginning. Now it's become toxic. I mostly only come to this group, the lounge, and the spiritual group. I absolutely can't believe that so many members of DU have turned on our President in such a vicious way. I mean some of the posts are completely unbelievable. And the administrators don't do anything which has truly shocked me. Oh yea, and this thread will most likely be locked shortly -which is something else that I don't understand. In the GD forum, anything goes when it comes to completely bashing the President. However, it seems when someone posts something positive about him, the thread gets locked.
