| My, Robert Gibbs sure has hit a raw nerve! |
|
And why am I not surprised that, according to some people, it's all Obama's fault?
Well, I for one tip my hat to Robert Gibbs for speaking the truth!

Do hope 'the liberal/prog base' gets its act together, and starts behaving like a base should.
(But what are the chances? We're 'Dems,' right?)

This type of attention is all they seek. They puff out their chests knowing that they are annoying this admin.

Sad, pathetic cowards who, like you said, can dish it out but run crying to mommy when they get their own shit thrown right back in their faces.

but I'm enjoying the fallout nonetheless.
The funniest part to me is how many casual posters think of themselves as somehow included among the 'professional left'.
The people outraged by this are the last I would expect to turn out and help win the upcoming elections. A few have already made that clear: this will just give them a better excuse.

I question the timing of his remarks, though. The "professional left" has already turned him into Public Enemy #1--I think he's displaced Rahm at the top of the list.

I thought we were the paid shills!
I agree with what Gibbs said. I only hate that the professional left he was speaking of, will squeal even louder, and the blind will follow them even harder. Guess they can't stand seeing this president in office so much that they are attempting to usher in republicans. Getting pretty sick of the entire thing. Thankfully, most folks don't even know who they are. Real Democrats support their party, especially an administration getting as much done as this one!

| 10. Isn't that the truth - usher in republicans. |
|
To them it doesn't matter who is in power, lesser of two evils, stupid meme to bring up a President McCain and VP Palin, blah, blah, blah. On some issues, I agree but on balance strongly disagree. Not one of those reasons alone or together is enough for complacency in ushering Republicans.
If they can't see the differences in Obama and Bush, and that one is infinitely better than they other, then I'm sorry but have no use for them. The complaints will be just as loud and strong if the Republicans takeover - so what's the difference? If that happens I hope they'll be thoroughly satisfied that their vote or lack of it will count this time in allowing Republicans to rule - that's really the bottom line here.

All this time they were pretending the Obama supporters were the "paid $5 buck an hour" operatives and Gibbs just busted up that whole stupid meme with one sentence.

And there are a lot of people who's nerve has been hit so accurately that they are working hard to prove him right because of what he said, IMO.
He absolutely told the truth, and I have been of the same opinion for quite some time now. Our whole society is just used to being verbally caressed and coddled, which achieves nothing.
