President Obama signed a bill that reduces tariffs on a long list of raw materials used by
U.S. manufacturing companies. The National Association of Manufactures says the measure will
boost manufacturing output by $4.6 billion dollars and support about 90,000 jobs.

President Obama made remarks from the White House Rose Garden on the jobs bill being debated in the House of Representatives. It provides about $26 billion to states mostly for preventing teacher layoffs and Medicaid expenses.
