Obama has at least three more years to do what can be done to fix what is broken in our country. I believe that reasonable people will come to understand that their deepest suspicions regarding our president's motives are unfounded. Those who hate because of Obama is not One Of Them, so to speak, will continue to hate.

But the fact remains, there is work to be done to see to it that Obama has the opportunity to do what needs to be done. That must be our focus. Leave the hate to the haters. We have work to do.

I've never gone out of my way to "friend" people on Facebook from here, but I semi-accidentally ended up as a friend of a PUMA who was TSed shortly after the election because we played one of those dastardly Facebook games.

Some of the threads on that person's wall were truly vile.

What I find irritating, one of those things you find irritating because you understand why it is the way it is but still don't like it, is that this person and dozens of FB friends who weren't TSed from DU would coordinate assault on specific people, yet the rules of Groups like this don't even allow us to link to a thread elsewhere and comment upon it. You can go outside of DU and coordinate activities on DU, but you can't do so on DU itself where it is out in the open. Seems weird.

I maintained a vigil for awhile, tried a few notes to the admins and then PMs to people I knew were about to be targets, but I finally just couldn't tolerate it anymore and de-friended this person.

I, too, had noticed these outside "coordinated" attacks. (Not saying I was a specific target, but it sure felt like it at times.)

I would reply to one person, and immediately three, four or five different tag-team members would rush in with 20 or 30 replies, but maybe only one reply would actually appear from the person I'd originally responded to. It was very, very obvious something was going on.
