With a treasonous evil cabal turning our representative democracy into a dictatorial empire, a vast array of assorted religious nuts and global warming all threatening to end the world as we know it, I'm feeling a tad low.

My family is hosting two exchange students this week from a country many of us feel some animosity towards. I am going to back away from the computer, ignore the world and experience the beauty of two kids whose humanity transcends the crappy policies of their government while I transcend the heinous behavior of mine.

So to escape the clutches of existential angst in the face of dire news from the outside world I hereby retreat into my shell. I'll rejoin reality next week. I trust it can continue without me. :)

I get so "addled" and wound up that I don't read the news or watch TV - just to relieve
the daily grind..... You know it can't be good for you to release those angry cortisols
day after day......

8. Beats the head ache one gets from beating his head against a wall trying to figure out wtf the other

side is trying to pass off as fact. Fact, more workers + less jobs = unemployed at all time high. Republican fact More workers + less jobs = lazy people who won't work. Fact Bush lied about Saddam being evil + No WMD's = No reason to attack Iraq. Republican fact Saddam was evil + WMD's were there but they somehow transported themselves to another country = we are fighting them over there so we don't fight them here and on top of that we are giving them freedom.
