"While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff's concern for my health and welfare, I intend to serve my time at L.A. County Jail," the statement said.

Hilton also said she was surprised and troubled by the massive attention her case has received worldwide.

"I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things like the men and women serving our country in Iraq and other places around the world," her statement said.

They first evaluate prisoners to decide where to send them. There are several different facilities and non violent incarcerated prisoners can request which one they'd like go to. She's basically saying stop moving me around, I'll just stick it out here.

Admittedly, I did not read all the posts about her in the past few days, but I think that many of us question the special treatment that she got, that in most cases, such offenses do not merit such a harsh sentence, that's all.

We should not be lenient on celebrities, but we should not punish them harsher than what "regular" folks get.

Personally, I would not be aware of her attacks since I really do not follow anything that she says or does.

A few days ago, after Olbermann, I left the TV on and watched the guy who was filling in for Scarborogh and I had to turn it off since his narration about the events were accompanied by videos of her at every pose possible (PG, that is) and after a few minutes I just could not take it.
