Just saw it on CNN.. Retraining Americans to do jobs that cannot be outsourced..
S E R V I C E jobs..
car mechanics, nurses, etc..
and of course we cannot outsource things like babysitters, lawn care, plumbers, waitresses, hairdressers, shoe shiners..
The thing is....
How much do these jobs PAY?? and How MANY of these jobs does one need to take on to arrive at a family-supporting income?
Registered nurses make a decent salary, but more and more hospitals use aides to do most of the work, and they are terribly underpaid..
and once we have more people trained in these service jobs, who will be left with enough of an income to PAY for these dervices?
