If you have a particular despise for Tony Blankley or if you simply like hearing Bush apologists get their due, then this is for you. On The Diane Rehm Show yesterday, Diane's screeners let an unprecedented number of calls through in which the caller was seriously pissed off, and they all took it out on Blankley.
The calls start at 34 minutes in.
1. The MoveOn ad against Petraeus. This was just a warm-up. Blankley distanced himself from those bad, bad people who pulled similar or worse crap on John Kerry and others, but condemned MoveOn.
2. The lying game being constantly played by the administration. The caller is annoyed that Blankley calls blatant lies a "gradation of interpretation." Blankley dodges the question by saying one cannot be certain that the President has lied because we can't be sure what he knew or didn't know (typical knuckledragger apologist bullshit). David Corn doesn't let Blankley off the hook.
3. Petraeus is a bootlicker. The caller gives the verbal finger to Blankley and says MoveOn got it right. This is a very interesting discussion (around 38 minutes in -- listen to this one).
4. A caller from Raleigh NC again backs the MoveOn ad, and jousts one-on-one with Blankley and eventually tells Blankley that he doesn't know what he's talking about (with regard to the loss of the thousands of weapons).
