LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities in Nevada are trying to find a girl believed to be 4 or 5 years old and a man seen performing explicit sexual acts on her in an amateur videotape.

A Nye County sheriff's detective says investigators have nothing to go on to identify the girl and the man.

They don't know where the tape was made, who the man and girl are, or where they are.

But the tape clearly shows the adult man performing criminal sexual acts that the detective says include rape, everything else, and then some.

It's a small screen and highly reflective, which means it's a glass CRT. LCD's don't reflect light like that, and nobody makes a plasma screen that small.

Flat screen CRT's like that have been on the market since the early 90's, and are still sold today.

and someone will identify her. She can be rescued and the perp can

and put on a path to healing. The vast majority of victims of these
crimes do not.

It's a really awful story, but there is a great deal of hope and promise
for this victim and her future--in this story as well.

In looking at an enlarged version of the above photo, it looks like a cheap motel room. There's a reflection of a window and what looks like it may be a boombox under that. I also see a man's hand next to a tripod leg, and it appears he's holding something (microphone?).

In the lower left corner is what appears to be a cheap bed comforter/bedspread. And to the left of the TV is some clothing, and what looks to be pants, and either a white t-shirt (white undershirt?) or maybe a bra.

I enlarged the girl's face from the photo.

Her right eye (your left) looks not only black and blue, but the pupil looks very dilated, as if she may have lost the vision in that eye. It does look like there's blood under her left (your right) nostril, and the bridge of her nose as well as her right cheek/upper lip look swollen as well.

Her hair looks bleached.

I think her eyes are brown.

I assume there's something in the tapes to indicate that the abuse took place in the U.S., or this wouldn't be on the news (fwiw, most kiddie porn nowadays comes out of Russia and eastern Europe where enforcement is lax or nonexistant). Do they have accents? Do they sound southern? Midwestern? Canadian? Is there anything at all to narrow down where they're from other than "in the U.S."?

It's possible that it's a tape compliation done all by the guy (or persons...maybe), and that some of the clips on the tape are in color, while some are in B&W.

Volunteers Man Call Center In Search For Girl

Investigators say they have new clues to possibly help them solve the mystery of a little girl who was abused on a videotape.

The new information has been released after some 1,500 tips have poured in from across the country.

Nye County sheriff deputies released the new pictures hoping someone can identify the girl who is abused on the tape.

They are also still searching for the identity of the man seen in the video.

Thanks to digitally enhanced photos, images of girl being abused in the tape, the unidentified man and the room they are in are clearer.
