I heard the other day that there is a book coming out about former President Ford which states that there were some factions in the repub party who tried to get Ford to convince Cheney to step down in 2004.

when they already know that their votes won't change the outcome. In other words ... they get to blame the Dems for ignoring Cheney's crimes and they look like the heroes of our democracy. :eyes:
EDITED: They didn't actually vote to impeach: they voted to keep the motion on the table.
