people of color and females in power are generally disappeared from our TVs and newspapers ---

only women allowed have to be cleaning johns or showing their boobs ---

Back then, you could turn on CBS and watch hours of black women discussing the days' headlines.

2. Back then, you might see Malcolm X . . . actually saying something!!

You may think you're kidding about things going backwards ---
however, when I first started watching C-span in '88, you could actually see women discussing
something other than food and children --- and you could see people of color.
In fact, C-span began with an African-American host but then for a long spell only whites allowed!!!

3. Also, look at the footage of protesters -- and the VN war injuries, dead ---

We were seeing more then!!

They hadn't yet shut things down completely ---
