Several DUers have posted asking what to say to a relative thinking of going into the military. Folks should let Cindy Sheehan's (and Elizabeth Weill-Greenberg's) book do the talking.
It's a short paperback - 128 pages, and is only $9 bucks at Amazon.

I loved this one. (Note my bolding)
"I know that I will do my best to honor the lives and the memories of those who have gone before us and taken up arms in order to fight the horrors and the monsters of this world. This is a sad book. While the book doesn't full frontal show objections toward the military, the
objections are easily seen and easily understood by those who are not blinded by the Clinton and Al Franken style, more like vomit, of liberalism. That is, only a fool would not realize the very nature, from page to page as I have read through the book, shows a degregation toward the United States military and the government. This is an abominable book.
While I admit I myself am not in the military, my family on both father and mother's side has a long standing history with the armed forces. This book is a travesty, though in this liberal hay day, when everything must get a thumbs up by the liberal Politically Correct, this book is not surprising in the least. It is hate inspired in all sense of the words, our soldiers should be honored because they live their lives for honor, but this book makes a mockery of them. And to you Cindy Sheehan, I am filled with pity toward you. I am sorry your son died in the war, BUT, you practically slap your son in the face and the memory of your son in the face by going about this business you are doing. You are practically spitting on his grave. You may think you are doing the right thing, but in your actions and in your speeches, you show dishonor to the extreme. I feel bad that your son died, but, I feel even worse that you don't care to respect the memory of your son who died in a war that we didn't start. A war, if you would recall, that began on 9-11. And the authors of this book all together spit in the faces of every man and woman who has lived and died to protect America from a hostile world, along with the families of those who have lived and died to protect America in a hostile world. You are pitied."
