Do the national polls take increased DEM registration into account? Any DU'ers know

where I can get information on the methodology and how up to date these polling organizations are in regards to current voter registrations?

1. Reputable pollsters SHOULD tell you up front their sampling technique(s).

2. It depends on the pollster

I believe many of them take past voting history into account when determining who a "likely voter" is - i.e. if you didn't vote in the last election, you're not a "likely voter".

3. I've been looking at their sites, gallup et c. and can't find their methodology. There have been

huge increases in DEM registration but are they still using the old figures? Still polling same number of Dems and Repukes based on past voting trends?
