| Do the national polls take increased DEM registration into account? Any DU'ers know |
where I can get information on the methodology and how up to date these polling organizations are in regards to current voter registrations?

| 1. Reputable pollsters SHOULD tell you up front their sampling technique(s). |

| 2. It depends on the pollster |
I believe many of them take past voting history into account when determining who a "likely voter" is - i.e. if you didn't vote in the last election, you're not a "likely voter".

| 3. I've been looking at their sites, gallup et c. and can't find their methodology. There have been |
huge increases in DEM registration but are they still using the old figures? Still polling same number of Dems and Repukes based on past voting trends?
