War, protests, political assassinations, be-ins, national elections, rock -and-roll, civil rights movements... 1968 was a pivotal year in American history — and Pacifica was there to report on it, with perspectives and insights not offered elsewhere in radio journalism. Forty years later, the Pacifica Radio Archives is making available one-of-a-kind recordings that help illuminate this era.
Producers can download sound clips to use as elements in their own storytelling. Academics, students and other researchers can delve into our online recordings for their projects. General Web users will find much of interest on an array of subjects:
Original, complete recordings (organized by monthly calendar and subject)
Stand-alone, two- to three-minute "Rewind Moments"
