A BUZZFLASH NEWS ALERT

Democrats have been pretty critical of Sarah Palin and her family. Rumors are hard to separate from facts as they swirl and mingle on the internet.

Here's a surprising new story, hard to fathom, but true, filed by AP reporter Matt Volz.

Just as former Texas Rep. Tom DeLay once was an exterminator, it turns out Sarah Palin's parents, Chuck and Sally Heath, are in the business of getting rid of pests. They've handled jobs large and small, in cities and on beaches. They even joined a team of 69 specialists from 23 states who fought off scavenging animals in the 9/11 aftermath:

In January 2002, they went to New York City for a two-week assignment that fit their specialty. Their job was to make sure birds and rats did not disturb the debris from the collapsed World Trade Center towers that was being searched by forensic teams for human remains in Staten Island's Fresh Kills landfill.

They used snap-traps to catch mice and rats and pyrotechnics to scare off the gulls. If the birds persisted, the couple shot them as a last resort, Chuck Heath told The Associated Press on Thursday.
Palin's parents trapped rats during 9/11 response
The Heaths also handled one other assignment outside their home state of Alaska:

First was Fresh Kills, and then another rat-killing job later that year on the infested Palmyra Atoll in the Pacific Ocean. There, they helped kill between 20,000 and 30,000 rats, mainly by dispersing poison by air.

"Yes, we felt it was quite successful. We certainly didn't eradicate all of them, but certainly many thousands," Sally Heath, 67, said.

Chuck and Sally Heath have worked as part-time U.S. Department of Agriculture wildlife specialists for the past 15 years.

8. Yay For Them.
I have a mind of my own though. I don't find things interesting just because other people do.

Having that said, I still have no idea what this has to do with anything or why it would be interesting for some reason.

5. So how much were they paid ?
for their 9-11 New York trapping, poisoning and pyrotechnics? (Airborne rat poison--great for the air and water around there...)

So what I want to know is, did good ol porkster Sen. Ted Stevens help them get this gig?

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

On the other hand, maybe they did it for free...:eyes: O8)

11. there must be more to this story because when Buzz published it

it was jumped all over by responders (scroll down after the article) ridiculing Buzz for publishing it.

a big clue as to the importance of the story.

Those bastards! :sarcasm:

Anyway, this story is nothing. Just because Buzzflash published it doesn't mean it's important.
