| McCain is being so condescending |
|
He keeps saying Obama is naive, that he doesn't understand the difference between this or that, or the definition of some policy. He's talking about Obama like he's a joke. I really hope this blows up in his face. It's insulting.

Easy enough to counter, but it is legitimate.

I feel like Obama has won this. All I've heard from McCain is earmarks are bad, we're winning the war in Iraq but will lose if we leave in 16 months, and Iran is really bad. The rest seems to be hot air, condescending drivel, and claiming he's not "Miss Congeniality." Hope undecided voters feel this way, too!

Everything reminds him of some human interest story... I was waiting for a vomit-inducing "when I was a kid and we had to walk 5 miles barefoot in the snow to get to school" business. And the name dropping shite... "Kissinger was my friend for 35 years" uchhhh... I hope that nauseated the undecideds if his barely repressed temper didn't.

it's going to do him any favors. Obama's right to ignore it. It makes McCain look cheap.

He's wearing blue to try to look honest and his tie isn't as high in quality as Obama's. Seems trivial, but I wonder if his advisers wanted to make him look less "elite" than Obama.

Independent voters were highly disapproving of this behavior on McCain's part. It is driving his negatives up.

| 7. Without substance and consistency, he resorts to deception, insults, and smears. |
|
The question folks should ask is "If McCain can't even demonstrate that he comprehends the POSITION of his adversary, how can he claim an ability to interact with other nations?"
International relations CANNOT be successfully conducted with straw men and falsehoods. Sneeringly dismissing the presentations of those with whom one negotiates is NOT a mature, rational approach.

Even if the person's opinions and policies are deplorable, snubbing your nose at them does no one any favors. Diplomacy isn't legitimizing those beliefs - it's trying to avoid disaster and needless violence and death.

... cut spending, protect Israel, I love Veterans.
And none of McCain's (or the GOP's for that matter) support any of his claims.

On one hand, I'm glad Obama didn't rise to the challenge. On the other hand, I wish he'd asked McCain why, if he loves veterans so much, has he voted against increasing their benefits so often?

He cut their funding, they have groups who can challenge him for the next few weeks on his lies in ads.
