| Poll question: If we hadn't have voted TODAY, would the market have done this? |
|
I doubt it.
Why did we rush into a vote, and raise the stakes even more like that? This obviously needed more debate, clarification, and feedback from experts and voters.
Would delaying the vote for one more day of debate have sent the markets south like this? I understand the urgency, but it is really measured in terms of hours? The market had been patiently waiting for a proposal to pass. It would've waited one more day.

| 1. It would have dropped anyway, but not like this |
|
Another day of doubt would have continued the slide in the markets - just my guess - but one way or another the real movement, both for today and in the long term, depended on this vote and what happens next.

| 2. I read where it was predicted to dive because of the European markets -- |

I think the vote today exacerbated the doom.
It seems obvious that today's vote had a direct impact on the market.

Thanks! That's the heart of my point. One more day to work this out could've made a difference.
I guess we can always go back to the drawing board.

That's all this is. When this is settled one way or the other, the stock market will go back to it's usual doldrums.

 There's not yet any decline in the market that's not inflation-based market value to begin with.

| 7. Really? The Dow would've sank 700 points if we didn't vote today? |
|
We had to vote, and this had to pass TODAY?
