| I saw my first McCain/Palin sign here in Macomb county yesterday |
|
Up to then, it's only been Obama signs
I live in a pretty better that average scale community of mostly good white folks
A lot of really nice houses
The house that had the McBush sign on it lawn looked a bit ramshackle compared to the rest of the community.
I couldn't help but think that it's just another example of someone who's voting against their own best interests.

| 1. I ran into that at work |

Here a bunch of nurses sitting around during the Debate, and we turned it off because we couldn't listen to McCain anymore, and the Aide who was the only McCain supporter in the room was pissed. She makes almost nothing but is totally republican because boys shouldn't be able to kiss and women shouldn't have abortions.

The only one of my staff who is "outwardly" for McCain is in the most trouble. She works and her husband has never worked. I am all about supporting varying the gender roles but he stays home and won't do any houswork either. You know he is a loser. They have their kids on MIchild insurance (thanks to Clinton), they have taken advantage of WICK, welfare and Headstart. Yet they are vehemently for McCain. Of course they aren't homeowners.
The person that needs Democratic programs the most is against them.........for others.

She calls in all the time, now I make over double what she does, and there is no way I could call in that much so I assume that she has to get some kind of aid.

The poorer whites seem to be the ones favoring her. On the next block from us there is one with a McCain/Palin sign and they attached these words to the top of the sign, "White Democrat".
Nice huh?

| 5. I have seen plenty traveling through a certain affluent neighborhood in Wayne County... |

but what surprised me was the equal number of Obama/Biden signs I saw. In fact, I saw one house selling (at cost) Obama signs several weeks ago!
It does the heart good!

3 months ago I didn't see one mcCain sign, now I'm seeing it all over the place.
But i think the mccain campaign are literally handing them out door to door because I will drive a block and just see both mccain and schafer signs out(R running for senate here).
