Shallow, but I have to say it. McCain looked HORRIBLE in high-def.

Watched the debate on my 42" HDTV. CNN HD. McCain looked like ASS. Ass held together with spackle and prayer.

The difference was so stark. Obama was practically glowing. McCain looked kind of like Goldie Hawn at the end of Death Becomes Her. I mean we're talking Nixon vs. Kennedy difference. People familiar with HD know that TV people have special "HD ready" makeup spackled on them so their flaws don't get magnified but it so didn't help McCain. It only made him look worse.

Did anyone else watch in HD and notice this?

I know HD households are still a minority but I'm wondering how much of a difference it will make. Obama was the picture of vigor and vitality and McCain looked like death sucking on a pickle.
