besides having to pay for the 800 phone call, they also have to pay for a payphone surcharge.
It had been 25 cents per call but prob more now.

I still remember phone booths. Well maintained, almost always worked. Now, if you can locate a pay phone, it's often either been rendered useless, or has a drug dealer attached to it.

Cell phones pretty much put the final nail in coffin of the more public pay phone.

My husband is a registered Republican and we have had a blast sending back the weekly envelopes begging for money with I gave to Obama written on them. They always ask that you put a stamp on the envelope so the RNC doesn't have to pay for postage but don't. I have received many emails from the RNC and know it is because I have emailed everyone in florida during a 147 day strike my husband's union was involved in. Want to know why my husband is voting Obama? His office called during the strike to ask if they could help! We heard nothing from anyone in Florida including our Democratic Senator Nelson. His hands were so deep into NASA's pockets that he didn't want to upset his gravy train. I send them back each time with some remark and that my money and vote are going to Obama. I just called and gave them my opinion and felt great!

15. more hate-junk mail from the mccain-palin hate campaign

two more pieces of crap arrived in the mail yesterday, bringing the total received this week to 10. A neighbor dropped her pile off last night, will be picking up the rest for other neighbors today. I asked them to cut out their name/address from the hate-flyers.

will drop them off at local mccain-palin hate headquarters this morning with a note "have you no honor, John McCain?."

meanwhile - I called local mccain-palin hate headquarters last night - got a machine. left a message saying I received their flyers and robo-calls, it has me very much concerned and I will be making a donation to the Obama campaign, and to please ask mccain where his honor has gone.

as far as the robo-calls for last night - there were none. nothing on our answering machine, none received in the evening. usually we have had at least one in the answering machine, and receive a second one between 6-7pm.

by 7:30pm, still no robo-call - so I called them.

Told them I was concerned about the connections they were making between obama and ayers, and asked what happened to mccain's honor. At this point it doesn't matter what happened to his honor, it's apparant with the fear/smear tactics mccain no longer has any honor, I would be making a donation to Obama and have encouraged my friends, family and neighbors to do the same.

I didn't give the mccainiac a chance to respond - cut him off by saying "we've had 8 years of this crap, and for mccain to continue to use fear & smear in a campaign indicates that he intends to govern in the same manner as bush-cheney, mccain would drive us off the bridge to nowhere - thanks but no thanks"
