9. I was flying from Oahu when the old man in front of me

was being hassled about the jar of ashes he was trying to bring on the plane. His WIFE's ashes. He was heading to Chicago to bury her in her family plot. He explained that they had been married for 49 yrs, and that was her last wish.

He almost did not get the ashes on board.
But those bastard Homeless Scrutiny Assholes did something better.

He had a jeweled, gold, expensive nail clipper on his key chain. I watched with 50 others in line, as the smirking, black suited, heavily armed asshole removed the clippers from the keys, and in front of the poor old dude, BREAK IT APART AND THROW IT IN THE TRASH. Those were real jewels, and his wife had given them to him on his 65 Birthday.

DHS is filled with nutjobs who love to exceed their power. Raise a voice in complaint, and get kicked out of line and hassled enough to miss your plane.

that were burger flipper a few moths ago. One nitwit was going to confiscate my snow globe (of the White House no less) that I had bought as a souvenir for my daughter (only thing she asked for when I went to DC). Her supervisor looked at me (and rolled her eyes) and told the girl that is was less than 3 oz of fluid and let it go.

Common sense is so hard to find among these folks. Guess if we flew naked-their job would be easier. I've stopped flying with my cross stitch stuff which I love to do when traveling. Enough to make you take the bus.
