:wow:
I don't know what his doctors are doing, but the man looks 10 years younger than the last time I saw him. He looks energetic.

| 7. People with brain cancer usually look good |
|
until right before the end.
However, forget about Bette Davis in "Dark Victory." If he has a recurrence, it won't be that quick or that pleasant.
As always, we need to hope for the best for him but not count on it.
However, it seems he's really taking care of himself now. It's good to see.

| 11. my mom died of brain cancer similar to Teddy's |
|
The doctors can put the cancer into remission for a while with chemo and radiation and then, unfortunately, it comes back. There are newer treatments these days but still no cure. It could come quicker or not. Mom went in 3 months. However, I could imagine people lingering depending on what part of the brain gets hit. The real sad thing about brain cancer is the loss of contact (depending on what portion of the brain gets hit). It's like alzheimer's only fast forward.

| 13. I've seen people progress very differently |
|
depending on the kind of tumor it was. I've seen people sharp as a tack until they fell into a coma, although they had lost the use of an arm or a leg. I've seen people able to speak but losing all their nouns. Some unfortunate people with frontal lobe tumors do go through a process that seems like a rapid Alzheimer's.
I knew one man who survived 5 years. I've known others who went only two weeks between diagnosis and death.
There is no way to predict what will happen with Sen. Kennedy. We can all continue to hope for the best, though. That's all we've got.
