..... conservative and :cough: pragmatic Democrats that they would leave and form a new center right party. Were this to happen, we on the left edges will be the minority.

to the rethug numbers in Congress. What this country really needs is many parties representing viewpoints from all along the political spectrum. Then, coalitions can deal with specific issues in a more straightforward manner. It might even show that the "left edge" is more popular with the public than is told by the government and the media.
