Searching Google News for more info about a 9-year-old Nashville kid who's set two fires in one week, I found that there's a whole bunch of other young kids setting fires in their respective parts of the country: http://news.google.com/news?pz=1&ned=us&hl=en&q=boy+arson

| 1. Almost all 4 year old boys play with fire (and some girls too). If not corrected some continue |

if they did not burn themselves. I can remember my whole life about families who got "burned out" regularly in different Twin Cities neighborhoods. I remember my grandfather referred to them as "urban renewal families".
Before I was 13, it was easier to get matches as so many people smoked and everyone burned their non-garbage trash. A lot of stores would not sell boxes of matches to children but other places they were on the counters for free. Still I do not see any significant change in the numbers right now.
