In a way I find it fortunate that someone so profoundly unfit for the job should also SOUND profoundly unfit for the job. If he were a smooth talker, it would be even harder to get people to examine his behavior.

| 8. And we can't seem to get the corporate media to do that now, |
|
even though they're the ones reporting these stupid quotes.
Mind-numbing, isn't it?

| 12. The Republicans will stop Thompson themselves |
|
They have a record of this.
In 1980, GHWB was running against Ronald Reagan in the primaries. GHWB was the best of the two, and they killed his campaign. (No, I haven't suddenly developed selective amnesia--GHWB was an awful president, but he's been the best of the last three Republican presidents.)
In 2000, John McCain was running against GWB, and they killed his campaign. McCain would probably have been an okay president. Better than Bush, anyway. Gore would have been better, but McCain would have been okay. Better than GHWB, anyway, which admittedly isn't saying much.
In 2008, if Fred Thompson's hat is in the ring expect to discover that he fucks sheep or something.

and after that have them read the same words. Get their response to the video and then after reading it.

Too bad bush never followed such advice.
BTW, I've been to Midland-Odessa, Texas, and never thought of it as being the "desert." And the word is "reared," not "raised," but I'll give him a pass on that, like a mercy pass for his otherwises staggering idiocy.
edit typo ...

| 16. Another gem older than these here (one that tells the truth, a rare breed): |
|
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we, they never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." 8-5-04
(No doubt, the "we" R himself, poppy's family evil empire, and Chainy's contributors.)
