| Poll question: What will happen to DU once Bush and Co are out of the White House? |
|
I've been thinking about this alot lately. The site was essentially started and it's popularity gained because of him. So I'm curious, will it continue to be a thriving general political forum (+ the Lounge), or will the majority of people slowly drift away?

Getting the truth out through the Democratic Underground will be more important than ever. We have got the republicans on the ropes. It is time to finish the job!

| 6. We will still be here, ot only does the RW have it's pinheads... |
|
we've got a few too. The parsing of information has become too important to be left to the MSM, or those that are going to be bush appologists.
Congress, and whomever is in the WH, need to be taken to task, and DU, as well as a few other sites, will continue to keep us abreast of what is going on through the insights of a membership that needs a place to roost and talk things out.

| 7. I imagine it will turn into a leftwing freep |

where everyone defends every single policy of the government against all common sense, even when they're hysterically wrong or break actual laws... and if anyone dissents... they'll get hounded off the site or accused of being rightwing plants...

I expect to be appointed an ambassadorship to a small pacific island where the women run around nekkid and they put umbrellas in your drinks while you bask in the sun on the beach!
Huh? Why not? Look at the flunkies Bush hired! Hey! I want my piece of the pie, too!
He he he!
Can we just become a Sunday morning talk show? We can have three or four DUers every Sunday discuss how the freepers fell from grace. And since AGs are chosen for political purposes these days, 93 of us ought to get cushy jobs, no?
I might even consider taking a job overseeing those pallets of cash they have waiting to send to foreign countries. I am really, really, good at that!
