| Did the White House ever turn over the 18 days of missing documents??? |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-12-07 06:23 PM by ProgressiveAmPatriot
With the shift in emphasis to the emails I haven't seen any stories on these missing documents. I don't think the White House has handed them over. Does anyone know for sure?

It'll take a couple of years to put that material together, so be patient!

| 4. They did "find" a few e-mail documents from that 18 day "gap" |
|
and included them in a small, very small document dump subsequent to the massive one where the gap was originally noticed. They have used the Thanksgiving holiday to try and excuse the gap, it isn't washing, though, especially now that the outside servers (gwb43, rnchq, etc) have been revealed.

| 8. It's likely the right answer. |
|
If people were away from the office around T-day, it means two things. First, since * was away, it was probably hard to get 'approval' (that being the last substantive e-mail before the gap). Second, people would have used their laptops, which didn't necessarily have the .gov e-mails as the default.

| 9. I suspect not, it is more likely they used the RNC servers |
|
during that time as opposed to the WH server because it was the holiday. The WH certainly knew the RNC server was being used as evidenced by their admission in more than one press conference. I bet there are multiple e-mails to be found on the RNC servers, etc, about the US Attorneys firing during the 18 day gap providing they are recoverable.
Given that 18 day gap occurred during a critical time in the process of the firing as evidenced by the last mail dated the 15th talking about Rove's shop, the President's signing off and then nothing until the e-mail dated the 5th stating it was a go, there will have been e-mails during that time. It seems the Congressional committees also believe there are e-mails that were transmitted during that time, hence the subpoenas.

....those emails were purged when they were scrubbing the Mark Foley files.
"Whew! Good thing we found those before they went public!"
