When I'm told not to make the perfect the enemy of the good, I initally believed it. That's why I was willing to compromise ona strong public option as the good because a single payer system is the perfect. Then, they weakened the public opption on us with it not even kicking in for a couple of years, making HR3200 barely acceptbale.

Now I'm being expected to give up on a public option altogether just so a bill can be passed and victory can be declared.

So in essence, we're being asked to not make the barely acceptable the enemy of the totally shitty but able to say we passed something so we can declare victory.

A watered down provision that the Corporate Dems call a "Public Option" that isn't available to "The Public" (HR 3200) is NOT good enough.
