| So - no Public Option but we will still be fined for not paying parasitic insurance companies |
|
As the 'Health Care reform' bill stands today.
I'm just fuming.

Let it fail and we'll be forced to have single payer as more and more people lose their private insurance.

the first day that I'm required to buy 'private' health insurance is the day I show up at the local court house and demand to be put in jail:mad:

| 6. I know. It's just where it stands right now. |
|
It should be motivating us all to loudly demand better.

Thats how the Senate Finance Committee's bill stands today, but there IS NO FINAL bill. All of the other committee's bills HAVE the PO, so just chill out and wait for the FINAL BILL!

as reported on NPR.
And NO I WILL NOT CHILL OUT AND WAIT. I will hound my congress-people regularly and try to motivate others to do the same.

| 8. What I want to know is how they plan on enforcing a mandate? |
|
How will they check if people have insurance? When applying for a job like Clinton suggested?
How will they collect the fines and what will they do to people who can't pay the fines? Jail? Wage garnishments?
How in the world do they imagine that people who can't afford insurance will somehow magically have money for a fine? These idiots live in some kind of charmed world where a couple thousand dollars is pocket money.
Arrrgh.

one does not/can not purchase mandated coverage, gets fined and either pays the fine or does not pay the fine? What is the next step?
