While someone else pointed out that it's true, my issue with it was that there are poor people in this country who are still better off than the people of Haiti are. It's one thing to be dirt poor, but quite another to be dirt poor and have one's entire world devastated by a natural disaster on top of it all.

In any case, I suspected that the very people who were running around posting that thing were probably the same sort who would not help anyone...even fellow Americans. So I posted a link on my FB page to a site with information on donating to help victims of a crisis taking place right here in the US.

I have over 100 people in my contacts (friends) list. Only ONE clicked the "like" button.
