6. Child has aggressive cancer. Healthy Insurance denied coverage of "experimental" treatment

after it approved two "experimental" treatments before. This one is the only thing that will say this 5 year old kid's life and it will cost $110,000 for two treatments.

Family is suing. Godspeed to the them!

7. The insurance company went AGAINST MEDICAL ADVICE

I think it's important to point out that distinction. The patient's doctor recommended the treatment. An independent doctor hired by the insurance company agreed the treatment was appropriate.

The insurance company went against medical advice and denied the treatment.

9. How sad. I couldn't imagine dealing with that and then trying to go the legal route that

takes so long. Very wrong.
