| 1. Starting over would actually be a great idea |
|
As long as they did so with HR676 in the House, and Ted Kennedy's 2007 Medicare for all bill in the Senate.

I think we all need to have a little faith that Obama knows what he is doing. I know it sounds religious, but no, its based in logic. The logic that says he is currently the best at the game.

And it was because he did what was necessary to save this country. Obama should be thinking more like him and a lot less like Bill Clinton.
You think FDR would be supporting corporate mandated insurance, if he were here today?
(Hell, I think his cousin Teddy would be disgusted that a full century later, we haven't figured it out yet. And Truman would beat the shit out of Max Baucus and Ben Nelson right on the Senate floor)

and I've already seen 2 commercials with a "start over" theme--- one comparing breast cancer survival rates in Canada to the US. They both were using a fear of government theme. They were definitely prepared to bombard the airwaves here. Of course, with a populace that votes in Hutchison and Cornyn, what can you expect? It will probably fall on many sympathetic ears.

Edited on Thu Feb-25-10 08:47 PM by terrell9584
The American people will react to mandatory insurance as if it was the second coming of the Mongol hordes. Not to mention if this passes and is sustained by a court it essentially says that the federal government can do anything it wants.
Yes, start over. Go for real free healthcare provided for all paid for by taxing the rich. Not this bullshit
