Westminster Cop, Prison Guard Charged In Rape
WESTMINSTER, Calif. (CBS) ―
A Westminster police officer and a state prison guard were charged Tuesday in the rape of a woman attacked at gunpoint in Fontana over the weekend.
Westminster Police Officer Anthony Nicholas Orban, who allegedly left his service firearm in the victim's car, and prison guard Jeff Thomas Jelinek were arrested Saturday by Ontario police. Orban, 30, and Jelinek, who turns 31 next week, are both charged with kidnapping to commit another crime and rape.
The 25-year-old victim told police she was leaving work at the Ontario Mills mall and getting into her car when two men later identified as Orban and Jelinek confronted her, Ontario police Sgt. Dave McBride said.
Orban allegedly forced his way in through the passenger side as Jelinek watched.
