| Comcast partners with teabaggers to bring new right-wing broadcast network online |
|
http://crooksandliars.com/karoli/comcast-partners-bring-new-right-wing-broadI had no idea Comcast was such a propagandist for the right wing. And to think they are trying to buy NBC (which means MSNBC too). Goodbye Keith and Ed and Rachel. I'm protesting by dropping Comcast and going with FIOS or anyone other than Reichcast.

I switched from Comcast in February. So far, no downtime and blazing fast internet, plus, I have MSNBC in HD and I get CSPAN3. So far, so good.

unfortunately, there's no alternative for internet access here, except Qwest DSL. Which I already tried, and it sucked. And if I wanted to get it again anyway, would cost me a $300 deposit, on top of the installation charges. Which I could afford even less than what Comca$t is overbilling me for at the moment.
At least I'm not buying TV from them anymore.

Comcast is the only game in town for broadband clipping me for $64.00 a month. It was $43/month but I dumped their TV service, so the monopoly upped my internet cost. I'm in a valley surrounded by tall trees too far away for DSL.

Unfortunately, for fast internet speeds around here, it's the lesser of two evils: Comcast or AT&T. Our service still sucks, though, because their "fast" internet speed is not consistent.
I never pass up an opportunity to bash Comcast.

I believe that Direct TV isn't much better. Do we really need 12-15 channels of religious b.s.? I should see who owns Direct TV too.
Now Comcast is trying to rebrand itself as Xfinity. Sounds cooler? I don't know - it's the same programming.

If you're going with satellite, Dish TV is a better option, if you can get it.

I hope they spend millions and millions getting it up. I'm sure that the 19% of the Con party who make up the tea baggers will appreciate the largess that will bring them their all hate all the time channel. A ratings winner for sure.

My brother is not allowed to receive emails from Mediacom, my ISP. And they won't let my emails go thru to my cousin either. They also stopped yahoo. I can't get any emails thru to him via comcast.

Our local cable company used to carry a conservative network called "National Empowerment Television" on thier cable network.
I noticed that NET needed to run begathons, even though they were a commercial network. They went belly-up in the late 90's.
This "teabagger" network, unless they have actually entertaining programs, will fail too.

Their decision to bump MSNBC to a higher tier of service- and before that, to flaunt the Clayton Anti-Trust act's proscription on tying contracts with impunity might have been a warning sign...
This corporation is no different than Massey coal- just a different sector.
