if they are successful and generate a lot of excitement and field a lot of candidates.... They will peel off republican voters over democratic ones by at least 2 to 1 and likely split the republican vote. weaken incumbents and in an odd sort of way help re-elect some democrats.
I actually think a vocal tea party helps Democrats and hurts Republicans in one easy motion.
The be-sure-to-bring-your-gun component of the tea party is too crazy for words. Tea Partyers and ordinary elected republicans alike will soon have to either denounce or support this scary wing of their movement.
I can hardly wait.

they will all fold their tents and vote for the white guy, I mean republican. Then they will stand fervent on their moral high ground.

I mean in all that time since he has been gone, who knows what kind of liberal views he may have picked up in his very old age.

Jesus isn't a white Republican?
Why else would he hate gays and Mexicans and liberals?

They are just Republicans who don't admit it and be associated with the stink of losing. They'll vote for the Repug every time. I don't think the Tea Party will generate enough candidates to basically do what was done in New York back in Novemeber.

8. I share your opinion. Teabaggers are nothing more than Repubs that passed their purity test. |
|
They will simply veer the R candidates even further to the right during the primary season (ala Rubio). We won't see very many third party races that will split the R vote so that a D can win.
