So what happens if a large section of the ocean becomes bereft of life?
Not only will the volume of co2 increase at a growing rate but the amount of oxygen in the earth's atmosphere will decrease.
Let's hope they get control of this problem while it's still simply a major disaster.
If this oil spew can't be stopped, in time the world could become an environment hostile to many current forms of life including us.
And we will be the only creatures that deserve it.
