| Anyone else getting Robo calls and e-mails from Bank of America? |
|
They want me to contact them for important info about my account. AS it happens, I closed my credit cards with them six months back and I don't have any account with them now.
I figure either B of A wants to offer me a new credit card (fat chance!) or else I'm being scammed.

| 2. The emails are a phishing scam |
|
Forward them to BoA and the FBI site.
Not sure about the phone calls, but they're likely the same. If you have caller ID, turn the number over to the phone company and the state AG.

| 4. no but they would (snail) mail you the credit card offer, wouldn't you? |
|
the only emails i get from them are abt the acct i have which is still open, just routine stuff like "hey, dummy, your statement is online now"
offers for new credit cards come in the snail mail, although they do frequently suggest that i apply online at such-and-such URL if i'm interested (which i'm not, unless they offer me some kind of incentive)
