5. The junk shot is their last resort in this |
|
which would mean they have little confidence anything is working.
Until I hear that they are trying a junk shot, I'm pretty optimistic given what we;ve seen so far.

9. according to the BP video briefing (I know, I know) |
|
the next step would be to cut off the riser and attach another pipe running from the drillship. Same general idea as the top hat but more technically sound. Sorry, I don't have a URL. Saw it linked on another site and neglected to bookmark it.

11. Last resort until they get the relief well drilled. |
|
Sorry, should have qualified it but I thought everybody understood the only solution to underwater blowouts in every instance to date was drilling relief wells.

2. Great photo of all of those guys in a room hashing out a solution. |
|
If this kind of effort were something proactive instead of plugging up an environmental disaster, it would be really inspriing.

7. Oy, and a clear lesson into the ICS |
|
what do you expect them to do? Have every one of them DOWN there? As in UNDER THE WATER?
Hate to point this out, but this is how you handle a disaster. The top guys are at a room, DIRECTING operations.... we call it a command center.
