It is fascinating to watch and it gets you thinking about what all that goopy shit is going to do to the fish and wildlife for hundreds and thousands of square miles all around it. And what it's going to do to the lives of the people who depend on the Gulf for their livelihood. And people thinking about those things and being concerned about those things

BP, under pressure from Congress, made available a live video feed of what is going on underwater, and about 3,000 websites were showing a version of it that the PBS "Newshour" offered for free. On Thursday alone, show spokeswoman Anne Bell said, more than a million people watched it. Many found it hypnotic.
