14. Here's the 411 ...

Police are investigating four suspicious devices found at four separate locations throughout Boston.

Officials are telling WBZ the devices are similiar to the one found this morning in Sullivan Square attached to a beam supporting I-93 north.

The four locations are the Boston University Bridge, Longfellow Bridge, Tufts New England Medical Center, and the intersection of Stuart and Columbus Streets.

WBZ has learned Boston police removed an item from the Boston University Bridge but they would not elaborate on exactly what the item is. Officers have since cleared that scene.

The Coast Guard has closed off the Charles River.

The New England Medical Center was evacuated for a short time. A spokeswoman for the hospital says a package found in a building at the medical center was determined not to be an explosive device. The medical center has been given the all-clear.

State Police have shut down a portion of Storrow Drive inbound near Government Center. The MBTA has shut down Red Line service between Park Street and Kendall Station.

The FBI is assisting Boston police in the investigation.

Police spokesman Eddie Crispin says units were dispatched after a flurry of phone calls came in at roughly the same time around 1 p.m.

It is NOT funny. 2 bridge, 1 medical center, 1 intersection and earlier today a MBTA station. I am very glad our police are on the ball here and that someone was smart enough to make the intial call to them. We have pissed off alot of people in the world.
