| 10. I agree, it's perfect and I wouldn't doubt if actual research proves it's true. |

I am not dissing anyone of any faith, but I do believe certain people have an inherent (possible genetic) propensity to be attracted, or in some cases, fall for certain things. I believe some people who against all reason, logic and proven facts still will not accept those facts and remain in total ignorance. 'A sucker is born every minute' is not just an observation by a showman like P T Barnum. It's based on fact. Some people CAN BE and WILL BE duped almost all the time. It's not strictly a matter of intelligence, but rather one of gullibility. I would love to see scientists conduct research and discover a 'gullibility gene'. From a lifetime of observation I'm willing to bet there is such a gene, or a close genetic cousin.
Just in our country we have millions who are gullible enough to be fooled into supporting the very people who seek to harm them. There have been tens of thousands (or millions) of people who have been extremely effective manipulating others using religion. Our own country's history is littered with masters of exploitation who have not only completely duped millions of people, but even talked their followers into killing themselves or others. There are con men and women who have skills in thousands of different fields, but the number one area where people can be exploited with ease has been through religion. The people who blindly followed the Jim Joneses, the David Koreshes, the Glenn Becks, the Osama Bin Ladens and the tens of thousands of other religious-like predators will continue to be born and will live their lives being duped by any opportunistic predator who enters their lives. In no other area in human life can people be led with ease to do things that are against their best interests is through religion.
I didn't write this to target any one religion because all religions have their fair share of manipulative people who use others for their own selfish ends, whether driven for riches, power, control or even just to get laid. A sucker IS born every minute and as long as they live their lives infected with gullibility they will always continue to become easy prey to others who can easily identify and manipulate them into believing anything.
