Looks like Leaf/Volt race to market first is finally decided.

Despite repeated and impassioned claims otherwise on DU, looks like Leaf will edge the Volt by a week,maybe more.

First consumer Volt will be auctioned for public schools (a nice gesture) finishing Dec 16, delivered at unspecified Dec date.

A trivial difference worth mentioning only because contrary claims were made so vehemently here. I hope both sell out in huge numbers, as they both certainly have initially, and are joined quickly by as many competing EVs, even serial hybrid ones if need be, as soon as possible, from manufacturers both domestic and foreign and in between.
