But reading the text, they talk about the iterative nature of this crochet and how it relates to fractals. But I need to read the text again and when I'm not also trying to watch C-Span and now Hardball!
I like fractal art and have done a lot of it. Just not as crochet. Thanks so much for posting this!

Fractals: The Colors of Infinity? I show it every semester in my college math class because it's a branch of mathematics that was actually invented in my lifetime -- in the 80s! And my students, many of whom are artists, can relate to it. The soundtrack is Pink Floyd. :)

I just requested it from my library. We don't have it here in our county system. But it's available from another county in the metro area and it's not checked out. Should be here in a week or so!
