Anyone have recommendations for quality sewing scissors? the 8" shears
Bought a new pair of Ginghers and they are just hopeless. Even sent them to the manufacturer and it appears they just loaded them up with oil to improve the cut. Great until the oil is gone.
Thanks for any suggestions.

| 1. My favorites are the Fiskars with the spring |

something that is great for somebody with arthritis. The scissors hold an edge and the spring keeps my hands from getting fatigued when I'm cutting out several projects at once.

The Ginghers are too heavy to use for any length of time. Once you use the springy-type of Fiskars, you'll never want any other scissors.
In general, the Fiskars seem to hold their sharp edge much longer than any others scissors. I have a pair that I bought in 1973 - they've never been used on anything but fabric, and I've only had them sharpened a few times.
That being said, I have smaller Ginghers that I use for applique and trimming, and I love them.
