Anybody else been doing more politicking than crafting this summer?

My UFO pile is where it was in May, unfortunately. When the weather gets bad enough to restrict door to door canvassing, I may finish some of them.

1. More gardening

...I'm happy it's getting towards the end of the season, I'm tired.

2. Now that it's 10 degrees cooler

I've finished spinning the yak hair and am now spinning up some black Merino.

I'll be making some Yak Hats for friends (although it's easy to see why the Mongols make tents out of the stuff instead of outerwear). The Merino will be plied into lace weight yarn and turned into a couple of lace shawls.

By the time I finish spinning up the Merino, it'll be just about time for the Taos Wool Festival to replenish my unspun stash.

3. I'm actually working on a massive attempt to fuse the two together.
